Join us for the Opening Reception for our Open Painting show! All are welcome to attend.
The show will run from March 28 through May 2. 2026.
Amateur and professional painters age 16 and older are invited to enter one or two paintings with an entry fee of $10 per painting. Bring entries to the library on Saturday, March 21, 2026 between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.
Categories
- Nature (animals, plants, etc.)
- Earthscape (land, sea, atmosphere, still-life, etc.)
- Humanity (portraits, people)
- Abstraction
Prizes:
$100 first place, $50 second place in each category. Awards will be announced at 2:00 pm during the Opening Reception.
Works may or may not be for sale and are expected to hang throughout the show. Paintings should be framed or mounted and ready for hanging with either wire or saw-tooth hangers. Paintings must be appropriate for public viewing in a gallery used for children's programs. The exhibit will be available for viewing during regular library hours through Friday, May 1, 2026. All entries are to be picked up on Saturday, May 2 between 12:00-3:00 pm.
