Author Jessica Purdy will be reading selected works from her poetry book, Shooting Stars and Origami Swans. Jessica Jaymes Purdy is a poet, activist, and DEIAB consultant committed to fostering a more just and inclusive society. A Lancaster County native, her journey has spanned military service, corporate leadership, and nonprofit work. As an author, her poetry explores themes of identity, love, mental health, and social change. Her works, including Shooting Stars and Origami Swans, provide a deeply personal and approachable perspectives on self-discovery and the human experience.

The reading will conclude with a question-and-answer period, after which time guests can bring forward their books to be signed by the author. The author will be donating $5 for every book purchased to LCCL. Online registration is required and begins on 3/10.
