Children's author Sandy Asher began her professional writing career with the publication of poems in literary journals and stories, poems, and articles in children’s magazines, including Highlights for Children, Humpty Dumpty’s Magazine, and Weekly Reader. She also wrote several plays in Plays Magazine. Since then, she has published dozens of books, plays, and more, including YA novels, middle-grade chapter books, and, most recently, picture books.
Sandy will present her latest book, Sophie's Monster Goes to Shul, which was just released in March of 2024. The story touches on themes of Jewish culture, grandparents, and imaginary friends! We will also have some songs, wiggles, and crafts related to those themes. Afterward, Sandy will be available to sign copies of her books for purchase.
