Event Details
Ever wonder why mystery stories grab us and keep us reading into the wee hours of the night? Carolyn Kleinman's presentation covers the history of the mystery novel, the sub-genres that have evolved, and the structure of mystery stories. She also will discuss the true crimes that inspired her to write her mystery that was recently published by Sunbury Press – The Class Assignment Is Murder.
In the novel, a Jewish college English professor and three of her students investigate an old murder case, and their inquiry resurrects dark memories for the professor who witnessed her mother’s murder when she was five years old. Who could have predicted that a simple class assignment would both revive and generate so many murders?
