Program Description

Event Details

Ages 4-8 with caregiver - child should be able to read simple text - this is not meant as a 'learn-to-read' program and no reading instruction will be provided. Our goal is to get kids excited about books, learn a bit more about using the library, and have some fun interactions with others.

Our library just received a generous grant from Dollar General that will provide our youth with Summer Reading gift books for finishers!

As part of the grant we will be offering book clubs for kids in various age ranges, so this program is one of several being added to the summer schedule. We will meet three times during the summer, on 6/19, 7/17 and 8/14 (earlier time-12 pm). The goal of this club will be to develop lifelong reading habits, learn tips on getting the most out of your library, and accepting a genre challenge. Please bring a book you are currently reading to each meeting.

Please register for each session you are able to attend. Participants who attend all three sessions will earn a gift book (in addition to their summer reading challenges!)
