Aimee Caya, Director of Library and Research Services at LancasterHistory, will be talking about several local incidents of censorship from the 20th century, including efforts by Rev. Twombly and the Law and Order Society to censor a wide variety of media, including magazines and movies, as well as the banning of Birth of a Nation at the Fulton. The presentation will feature a number of items from LancasterHistory’s collections, and brief comments about how folks can access those items and do their own research at LancasterHistory. Online registration begins 9/6.
