Program Description

Event Details

After the Union militia burned down the bridge to stop Lee's Army from advancing to Columbia, many believed that was it for Columbia's soldiers. Columbia's brave boys fought during the most well known battle of the Civil War, Gettysburg. During these three days in July, Columbia's bravest could be found fighting Lee's Army on every part of the battlefield.

Join Columbia Civil War Historian Cindy Beaston as we celebrate the 161 anniversary of the turning of the tide in the Civil War.

Program begins at 10:00am.
