Penn State Extension Master Gardeners presenter, Colleen Emmerling will be sharing all about container ponds!
Go beyond a basic birdbath supplying water to wildlife!
Increase and support biodiversity in your urban yard, deck, or patio by adding a “pond in a pot” that you can enjoy for 3 seasons. Learn about the steps—from container selection, plant choices, and overwintering—to create a habitat for bugs, birds, and small wildlife to find food and shelter in addition to water. Pollinators welcome! (No electricity or fish needed.)

About Colleen Emmerling
Colleen Emmerling is a Penn State Extension Master Gardener in Lancaster County since 2021. A former estimator for commercial print, she enjoys gardening challenges in her current shade dominant property. Her interest in hobby gardening began with a part time job in perennials at Funks Farm Market and fostered a desire to be a good steward of the land.
