What is a Cookbook Club? Like a book club, members meet to discuss books and enjoy each other’s company along with some great food. Who can join in? Everyone!
The meeting is a potluck meal. Each person is invited to check out any library cookbook, make an item from it to share, and offer their review of the cookbook as well as any notes or suggestions about the recipe they created.
In addition to regular cookbooks, the library has more places to find recipes.
1. Cooking magazines: the library has Cooking Light, Food Network Magazine, Allrecipes, Taste of Home and other magazines.
2. Online: There are over 100 cookbooks on Libby at Libbyapp.com
3. ConnectWell: For easy recipes made from fresh, healthy ingredients, go to https://online.lancasterlibraries.org/resources/connectwell. Enter your library card and navigate to the Healthy Recipe Collection
Last minute? Make a recipe from a cookbook you have at home!
Please RSVP if possible (even if it’s the day of the event). Bring the book along, print out your recipe, or ask at the library desk for a free copy so everyone can see your ingredient list.
There will be no Cookbook Club in July or August.
