Crime scene investigator collecting evidence

Join us for one, two, or all three programs in our Death & Dying series this fall! This series was developed to help participants embrace the inevitable and reckon with the strong social, emotion, and cultural barriers that we put up around death, especially as Americans.

In the first of our 3-part series, we will learn more about a criminologist’s approach to death. Presented by Dr. Frederika Schmitt, Associate Professor Criminology, Sociology, Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies at Millersville University. Dr. Schmitt will discuss suicide, murder, and domestic violence and what leads to these acts.

This presentation will NOT address true crime serial killers.
