Event Details

Community members of all ages are invited to learn about environmental issues and solutions in a family-friendly atmosphere.

Our host of eco-conscious contributors and entertainers will educate, empower, and inspire our community to welcome environmental-sustainability practices into their daily lives.

⚠ Please note, Earth Day Extravaganza is (mostly) an outdoor event, but we will bring it inside in the event of rain. This event will be held rain or shine!

Check out the launch of our NEW seed library, offering free seeds to anyone in the community! Vegetable, herb, and flower seeds are available.

Want to get rid of your old books sustainably? Come swap your pre-loved books for a new-to-you book from the Juliana Bookstore!

♻ 10AM-2PM: Master Gardeners
Learn about native plants and their ecological benefits, how to select ones appropriate for your landscape, what to look for when buying them, and other practical tips.

♻ 10AM-2PM: Pennsylvania College of Art & Design
Complete a nature-related craft with our friends from PCAD.

♻ 10:30AM: Canticuentos: Celebremos nuestra naturaleza
¡Miss Vivi presenta Canticuentos! Disfruten en familia de un tiempo especial celebrando la cultura hispana con cuentos, canciones y mucho más. Este programa se ofrece completamente en español. Community Room (library's 1st floor)

Trees are critically important to our living in a healthy city, not just in parks and yards, but also along the streets and alleys. Learn about the benefits of street trees from the City of Lancaster's Urban Forester. Community Room (library's 1st floor)
