Program Description

Event Details

We're partnering with Solanco Early Learning for this total eclipse viewing event! We'll have crafts, activities, and viewing glasses available for those who register. Drop in anytime between 2pm-4pm to view the eclipse!

The path of totality, where the Sun is blocked out completely by the Moon getting exactly in front of it, is over 100 miles wide, and passes over more cities than the eclipse in 2017. The total eclipse will be visible in our area between 2pm-4pm, so whether you join us today or obtained glasses through our other programs, make sure you have those safety glasses on during that time!

Glasses are limited to those who register and are one per person - please ensure you register everyone attending. Walk-ins will be accommodated as space and glasses permit. Glasses will be available through other programs leading up to this event; please bring your glasses with you if received ahead of time to ensure others are able to view as well.

Safety viewing glasses were provided through a grant by SEAL (Solar Eclipse Activities for Librarians), funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.

Please note: the library will only be open for this special event. You will not be able to access the main library, checkout materials, use computers, get a passport, or utilize any other services.
