Come to the Library for this program and you might find a grub, cricket, ant, mealworm, or other insect on your plate. Entomophagy (the eating of insects) is participated unintentionally on a daily basis by everyone. Insects are a source of protein and low in fat, cholesterol, and carbohydrates. We will look at and learn about the edible and inedible species. Insects will be cooked for the adventurous to sample. All participants must sign a liability waiver. Parents/guardians not attending the program must accompany children under 18 in to sign for their child. Ages 13+.
