L1 Learning Baby/Toddler

10:00 pm- 10:30 pm (10 month to 3 years - accompanied by an adult)

Weekly group sessions with children and caregivers focus on the development of the whole child and through music and movement build the skills children need to be successful in their social relationships, in recognition and organization of the people, places, and things in their environment, and sparking a life-long interest in their successful creative understanding of the art and culture all around them. Children will be exposed to auditory, visual, and tactile stimuli through a variety of songs, dances, movement explorations, and encounters with concrete objects like toys, and puppets.

These kinds of experiences enhance brain development, and enhance focus, build memory muscles, and strengthen body-mind coordination skills. The cognitive successes will build social confidence when they occur regularly in a social setting. When we are successful within the context of our peer group, we learn to associate togetherness with support, positive growth, and ultimately confidence. This early community of peers and adults becomes a baseline for a healthy social network of interaction, peer relationship, and behavior regulation. Sharing musical experiences creatively and collaboratively from an early age in a safe and caring space sets the stage for healthy growth in exponential ways for the rest of a child’s life.
