Forest bathing is not just taking a walk in the woods. Come learn how slow down and truly immerse yourself in any outdoor environment to help promote physical and mental well-being through all your senses.
Forest Bathing is a practice that involves immersing oneself in the forest environment and connecting with nature through the senses. It can: reduce stress and anxiety, lift your mood, strengthen your immunity, improve sleep, boost attention, and spark creativity.
Calyx Liddick from the Northern Appalachia School will talk about this Japanese practice, shinrin-yoku (which can be translated as “taking in the medicine or atmosphere of the forest”), which began in Japan in the 1980s and has recently grown more popular worldwide.
