There is growing interest in finding alternatives to turfgrass for residential yards. This presentation offers three different property scenarios and ways for homeowners to transition from lawns to various native-plant options.
Speaker Bio:
Laura Wash is a Penn State Extension Master Gardener since 2023 and has been a backyard gardener for over 20 years, happiest when she’s elbow-deep in the dirt. She is most interested in learning and teaching best gardening practices for homeowners as well as using native plants in the landscape.
