Intro to Amateur Radio

Think you know Amateur Radio because you’ve seen it in a few movies? Think the internet zeroed it? Think it’s only for geeks/nerds? There are many reasons people become licensed amateur radio operators such as participating in competitive events or contests, aiding in communication during parades or road races, serving as a vital comms link during emergencies or even just to enjoy the challenge of building their own antennas or radio components.
