Join us for our first-ever Library Costume Swap!
Bring in a clean, gently used costume (birth through tween sizes) and trade it for something “new-to-you.” This fun community event is a wonderful way to share, connect, and celebrate together while giving costumes a second life. Swapping not only helps families save money, but it’s also a great way to support the environment by keeping costumes out of the landfill. Come be part of this exciting new tradition!
Bring a Costume to Swap
Costumes for birth through youth size 14 (tween size) only.
Costumes must be clean, gently used, and in good condition (no rips, stains, pet hair, or missing pieces).
Accessories like hats, masks, wands, or capes are welcome if safe and complete. (No makeup, wigs, or undergarments).
Drop-Off & Tickets
Costumes must be dropped off between 9:00–9:30 am.
For each accepted costume, you’ll receive one swap ticket.
Tickets can be used starting at 10:00 am to “shop” for a new costume.
Fair Swapping
One ticket = one costume.
Families may only take as many costumes as they bring.
At 11:30 am, if costumes remain, anyone (including those who did not drop off a costume) may select extras. While supplies last.
Condition & Fit
All costumes are offered “as is.” The library is not responsible for sizing, safety, or condition.
Leftovers
Any leftover costumes at noon will be donated to local charities.
