Program Description

Event Details

Registration for Harry Potter: Care of Magical Creatures 101 will open at 9:00AM on Wednesday, July 16th for Manheim Township and East Lampeter residents and on Wednesday, July 23rd for residents of other municipalities.

Registration Requirements –  To help us manage our space, please register every person who will be attending, including adults or siblings.

The Care of Magical Creatures program is conducted by Critter Connections. The program covers a wide array of magical creatures, ranging from the familiar to the exotic. Students learn about their habitats, behaviors, magical properties, and how to interact with them safely. This is a fascinating course within the wizarding curriculum, typically offered at magical institutions such as Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You will learn about snakes, toads, bearded dragons, and many more.

Library Policies:

No Show – Patrons failing to cancel their registration for more than 2 library programs in a month will be restricted from registering for future programs for a period of one month’s time. Please cancel your registrations at least 2 hours prior to the start of the program to allow for those on the waiting list to be notified of their change in registration status.

Late Arrivals – Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the program to allow for parking and other circumstances. The program will begin promptly at the designated time. At this time, your spot will be forfeited to those on the wait list who will be granted entry. If spots remain, registrants may be allowed into the program. However, registrants will not be permitted to enter the program 5 minutes past the start time.
