Drumore Township’s story is one of resilience, innovation, and mystery. In this special Quarryville Library program, Adam Zurn of Uncharted Lancaster will trace the township’s participation in the Underground Railroad, spotlight its unique contributions to farming with inventions like the Drumore Sickle, and highlight landmarks such as Lancaster County’s oldest tombstone and the historic Drumore Mill. From sacred stones to industrial might, Drumore’s past is layered with meaning. The evening will also explore the folklore that lingers in its fields and streams—ghost stories passed down for generations alongside strange encounters, including a recent albatwitch sighting near Fishing Creek in 2024. This program blends careful research with engaging storytelling, making the past both accessible and exciting. Adults and older teens are especially welcome for this evening of local history with a supernatural twist.

Bonus: Attendees will receive free stickers and magnets, and autographed copies of Adam’s books will be available, with 50% of the proceeds going to support the Quarryville Library.
