Get your rolling pins ready! This month, Cooks & Books is getting a head start on the festive season with our Bakery Item Swap. Whether you’re a master of the sourdough starter or a first-time cookie maker, this is the perfect time to perfect your holiday treats and trade tips with fellow foodies.

To help everyone level up their holiday spread, we’re exploring techniques through two fantastic resources:

  • Billy Parisi’s Website: Perfect for those who love detailed, chef-driven techniques and classic methods.
  • Chasing Flavors by Dan Kluger: A deep dive into how flavor profiles work to make your bakes truly stand out.

Cooks & Books is an opportunity for passionate home cooks to gather around the table for conversation over a potluck feast of delicious food. Why not invite a friend to join you? The more, the merrier!

  • What to Bring: Please bring a bakery item to share (and swap!) and a copy of the recipe.
  • Requirements: Attendees should be 14 years of age or older. Vegan and vegetarian recipes are always welcome.
  • Supplies: Please bring your own serving utensils, place setting, to-go container, and beverage.
  • Cost: The event is free, but reservations are required!
