Event Details

Kids to Read with KPETS is a special literacy program designed to support and encourage emerging readers by providing them with a friendly, non-judgmental audience—a trained therapy dog! This program aims to boost confidence in young readers by offering them a fun and comforting environment where they can practice their reading skills.

 Each family will have 15 minutes of reading with the dog. Children who have signed up will get the first opportunity. 

This program is for children ages 4 - 7 who are able to read or are beginning to learn to read.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. 

Registration will open on Wednesday, August 14th for Manheim Township and East Lampeter residents and on Friday, July 16th for residents of other municipalities.
