Voting is a right and a responsibility. We are partnering with representatives from the ACLU of Pennsylvania to offer free, nonpartisan information and assistance with the voting process.
In the 2023 election, over 800 Lancaster County residents had their ballots rejected because of minor errors when submitting their mail ballots, such as forgetting to sign the outer envelope, omitting the secrecy envelope, or neglecting to write the date on the outer envelope. All around the country, disinformation campaigns have sought to confuse voters about the time, place, and manner of an election, create fears of intimidation or violence, and most recently they have learned to present realistic-looking AI "deepfake" images or videos that can mislead potential voters.
Local Lancaster County representative Ricardo Almodovar will be available to answer your questions. Check your voter registration status. Locate your polling place, and ensure you know what to bring when you go. Learn about how to exercise your voting rights, resist voter intimidation efforts, and access disability-related accommodations and language assistance at the polls. Find out ways you can get involved with initiatives to eliminate barriers to voting and proposed solutions, such as implementing drop boxes, adopting effective notice and cure processes, language access, etc.
This informational drop-in session is not affiliated with any political party.
