Event Details
Join us for an exciting and educational adventure into the world of structural engineering! This hands-on program is designed to introduce children to the fundamental concepts of structural engineering through interactive activities and engaging projects. Participants will explore how buildings, bridges, and other structures are designed and built, and they will get the chance to become young engineers themselves.
Students will be presented with a design challenge where they must think like an engineer to solve it. Challenges based on grade level may include keva plank blueprints, catapults, bridges, towers, or balancing nails.
Registration will open at 9:00AM on Wednesday, July 17th for Manheim Township and East Lampeter residents and on Friday, July 19th for residents of other municipalities.
This program is for ages 6-9 years of age and is for the registrant only. Parents may wait in the library if they choose.
Thank you for registering for a library program. Please plan to arrive punctually so you can check in with library staff no later than the program’s scheduled start time. At that time, others who are present and on the waitlist will be admitted to the program. If you arrive late and program capacity has been reached, you will have forfeited your spot and will not be admitted. We value everyone's time and want to ensure that our programs run smoothly and benefit as many children as possible. Your cooperation in adhering to this policy is greatly appreciated.
