All aboard for a high-energy journey through the science of trains! In this live STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) demonstration, the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania will fire up a working miniature steam engine to show how steam power set the world in motion.
With fascinating historic artifacts, dramatic photos, and cool visual aids, participants will uncover the evolution of locomotion—from the hissing power of steam to the quiet force of electricity and the modern might of diesel-electric engines. It’s a fast-paced, hands-on look at how trains helped shape the world—and the science that keeps them moving!
Ideal for school-age children (Ages 7-12) and their families, this program is perfect for curious minds who love trains, history, and hands-on learning.
