Registration is preferred, drop ins will be accommodated as space permits. The presentation will be held in the early part of the event, and Jason will be available to answer questions and sign copies of his books for purchase. Late arrivals are welcome up through 5:30 pm.

Quarryville Library is happy to welcome Jason Landsel, an author/illustrator of graphic novels. He recently donated the first two volumes of a graphic novel trilogy:

By Water https://www.plough.com/en/topics/faith/anabaptists/by-water

By Fire https://www.plough.com/en/topics/faith/anabaptists/by-fire

Set in 16th century Europe during the Protestant reformation, these stories focus on the founding of the Anabaptist movement - which includes the Amish, Mennonites, and Hutterites - who celebrate their quincentenary this year.

Jason will be offering a 30-40 min presentation on his graphic novels. This visual presentation would include:

  • More of the Anabaptist history
  • His travels in Europe researching the stories
  • The creative process behind making these graphic novels.
  • Q&A
  • Opportunity to purchase signed copies of his books (proceeds will be shared with our library!).
