Program Description

Event Details

How well do you know your wild neighbors? Pennsylvania is famous for its extensive forests, but you don't have to go deep into the woods to learn about your wild neighbors! During our Pennsylvania Wildlife program, Patrick will introduce you to several Pennsylvania native birds and reptiles - some of which, you may find in your own backyard! From the skies of downtown Harrisburg to the farmlands of Lancaster County, each ecosystem has its own important wildlife to appreciate and protect. Join us as we discuss the ways that you can keep Pennsylvania's wilderness vast and diverse!

Due to Pennsylvania Game Laws, participants attending the program are NOT permitted to touch the animals at any time.

Program will be held in Locust Street Park.

In the event of inclement weather, we will move indoors to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Please enter on the 6th Street side at the RED Doors.

Part of our 2025 Summer Reading program series.
