Program Description

Event Details

Manheim Township Public Library in conjunction with the Recreation & Park Planning Department is holding a fall Nature Walk! The Nature Walk is part of the Pulkrabek Enrichment Series, funded by a generous donation from Mary Kathryn Pulkrabek. Along with ball fields, playgrounds, and a myriad of other activities, Manheim Township’s Overlook Community Campus also offers residents a unique opportunity to get a closeup view of nature.

Join us in discovering the natural treasures that abound: native plants, birds, animals, insects, trees and more! Alex Van Pelt, Environmental Education Program Manager, will lead the 90-minute nature journey across 1.5 miles of natural wonder.  Participants will make stops along the walk for plant introductions and to discuss flora, fauna, and environmental events at Overlook Community Campus.

Rain or shine, so bring smart shoes!

Walkers will meet at the Destination Playground Pavilion.

Registered participants will be provided with free nature study supplies that they can take on their next adventure.
