Event Details

Lancaster County is famous for its rolling hills and rich agricultural heritage, but the landscape is changing fast. We currently lose over 3,000 acres of farmland every year to development. With 70% of our county's fields still at risk, the mission to protect our soil and water has never been more urgent.

Join Jeff Swinehart, President and CEO of the Lancaster Farmland Trust to discover why farmland preservation is about much more than a pretty view. During this presentation, Jeff will share his 24 years of expertise to explain how the preservation process works, how it impacts our local groundwater and watersheds, and what the future looks like for our community. Whether you are a curious neighbor, a landowner exploring your options, or someone who simply wants to ensure Lancaster's agricultural roots stay firmly planted, this is your chance to see what is at stake.

Come learn how we can work together to protect our home for generations to come!
