Program Description

Event Details

This week families can meet learn about what it's like to play the handbells.

Members of the Hershey Handbell Ensemble will be here to talk about what it's like to play the handbells and will give a demonstration. The group performs on seven-and-a-half octaves of Malmark Handbells, along with two octaves of Schulmerich Silver Melody Bells, four octaves of Petit and Fritsen Bells, and six octaves of Handchimes, and assorted other instruments.

The ensemble was formed to fulfill the need for an auditioned community ensemble comprised of persons able to play advanced literature, interested in advancing the art of handbell ringing through education and performance, and interested in uniting people through this musical art.  https://www.hersheyhandbellensemble.org/
