Event Details
Join us for Teen Manga and Anime Club, where we will discuss our favorite manga and anime, while enjoying treats from Japan. Explore the themes and plots of manga, whether you are familiar with the genre or would like to learn more about it! In this session we will be looking at character expressions and drawing original characters.
This program is for ages 13-19 only.
Parent Note/Disclaimer:
Manga and graphic novels can contain a wide range of content, and not all titles are appropriate for every age group. This club will only discuss books and series that are available in the library’s Young Adult collection. Discussions involving graphic violence, explicit language, or mature content will not be permitted. The focus of this club is to create a fun, safe, and respectful space for teens to enjoy and explore manga and anime together.
Library Program Policies
No Show – Patrons failing to cancel their registration for more than 2 library programs in a month will be restricted from registering for future programs for a period of one month’s time. Please cancel your registrations at least 2 hours prior to the start of the program to allow for those on the waiting list to be notified of their change in registration status.
Late Arrivals – Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the program to allow for parking and other circumstances. The program will begin promptly at the designated time. At this time, your spot will be forfeited to those on the wait list who will be granted entry. If spots remain, registrants may be allowed into the program. However, registrants will not be permitted to enter the program 5 minutes past the start time.
Check In - All participants must provide an emergency contact number upon registration or at the start of the program.
