Winter Sowing: What, Why, and How?

Beat the winter doldrums and get your hands in the dirt!   Join Master Gardener Sherry Watson who has been starting seeds with this method for the past six years. No lights or special equipment is needed, just let Mother Nature do her thing. Learn two different methods, one using milk jugs and the other plastic tubs. Attendees will plant a jug with seeds to take home to start them on this wintertime adventure.

Our Longwood Gardens collaboration this year features the title Paradise Under Glass: The Education of an Indoor Gardener by Ruth Kassinger. We will raffle off (separately) a Longwood Gardens Family Pass and a copy of this book to two registered attendee at the end of this event.
