Program Description

Event Details

Trees are critically important to our living in a healthy city, not just in parks and yards, but also along the streets and alleys.

Through this presentation you will be introduced to the benefits of street trees, including environmental, economic, and social impacts. Learn how the City of Lancaster addresses common urban tree challenges such as pests/diseases, development, and the importance of community involvement in tree preservation. Audience members will take part in activities that will help them identify trees, how to report tree issues, and better understand the City’s municipal tree policies. By better understanding the unique environment of the City, our urban forest will remain healthy and verdant, and continue to benefit all residents and visitors long into the future.

All ages · Walk-ins welcome!
