This stop is ONLY for seniors and employees at Homestead Villages. 

At this stop, patrons can register for a library card, check out or return materials, and request holds for future stops.

Ages 3 - 5 years, independent of a caregiver (Child must be 3 by April 1, 2024.)

Storytime will last 30 minutes and will include songs, stories, nursery rhymes and playtime.

This 6 week session will run April 10 - May 15.

Storytime will last 30 minutes and will include songs, stories, nursery rhymes and playtime.

Enjoy stories and an easy craft for ages 3-6 with adult. Every Wednesday at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. 

Walk-ins are welcome. Guest Readers on April 3 (Refreshing Mountain) & April 24 (Adamstown Fire Co). 

Infants, young toddlers and their caregivers sing songs, recite fun rhymes and read together. Participants also learn fingerplays, basic sign language and play together. Ages 0-24 months.

All are welcome to join this lively group on the second Wednesday of the month. Call the library for more information and book availability at (717) 560-6441.

2024 Book Titles

A time for Toddlers with their grown-up, dedicated to stories, discovery and exploring!  (18 months to 36 months, with adult. Other family members welcome.)

Ages 18 months up to Age 4 with a caregiver

Come sing, dance, Wiggle and Giggle! Fun monthly themes introduce basic concepts to toddlers and young children. Come play and learn!!  

Preschool Storytime features stories, crafts, and more!

Enjoy time with your child while building a foundation for reading success.

This in-person workshop is for those who are new to the internet or want to build more confidence finding information online and navigating websites.

Story Time for the preschool set: stories, songs, and silly stuff!  Join us in the Lapp Story Silo in the Children's Room. (3 to 6 years, with adult. Other family members welcome.)

Meet together outdoors in the library's backyard! Backyard Storytimes are for the whole family, and last about 30 minutes. Bring a blanket or chairs for your family. 

No registration is required but a responsible adult must be present with children at all times. Free building and imaginative play with kits of toys for children from 9 months to 7 years!

Meet the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Bring your own painting supplies. Get together with others to paint and socialize. No registration required.
