Stop by our side yard during the Thunder on the River Car Show and read a story to Jager, Dillon, Holly, and Ronnie, our Reading Education Assistance Dogs! 

They love a good book!

If you love to cross-stitch, bring your current project to the Library to work in the company of other stitchers. No need to register.

Summer Water Play was so much fun last year that we are bringing it back! Weather permitting, join us on the Library Side Yard for a splashing good time!

Ages 0 through age 2.

Please bring a towel for your child. 

At Adamstown Grove. We supply the rocks, paint, and brushes. You bring your creativity. All rocks will be added to our Kindness Rock Garden as we “Paint the Town with Kindness.” For all ages.  

In Snapology’s Animal Explorers class, students will learn where animals live and why an animal’s habitat is important for survival.

Preschoolers are invited to this special story time at the Ephrata Township Community Park Story Walk at 436 East Fulton Street! Early literacy skills, including letter and sound introduction, are included in each story time.

Celebrate our community helpers with Preschool Storytime at ELANCO Library this June! Each week we will focus on a different community helper by reading stories, engaging in pretend play, crafts, activities, and more!

Infants, young toddlers and their caregivers sing songs, recite fun rhymes and read together. Ages 0-24 months.

 Celebrate our community helpers with Toddler Thursdays at ELANCO Library this summer!

Our first "So You Want to be A..." program of the summer welcomes the Mount Joy Fire Department! Members of the dept talk about their responsibilities, fire safety, and they will let you take a tour of their truck. Questions are encouraged!

Registration will open at 9 am on Wednesday, two weeks before the story time for Manheim Township and East Lampeter residents and on Saturday for residents of other municipalities.

Welcome all knitters, crocheters, loom knitters, cross stitchers, felters, spinners, and embroiderers—anyone who transforms fiber into amazing creations is invited to attend our bimonthly Knitting Club.

At Brubaker Park in Brecknock Township. No one comes together more than colonies of insects. Learn about the fascinating things the tiny critters can accomplish when they work together and play some fun pollination games. 

Join Miss Esther for a play time at the library!

Come be creative and have FUN in Summer Art Club with artist, Jeremy Miller. Participants will learn about different artists and techniques and create their own Masterpieces! This class is best for children in grades 1-5.

We're hosting a BINGO Party! There will be small prizes, snack and of course, Bingo games!

If you enjoy crafting and conversations, this class is for you!  This month's theme is "The Great Outdoors." You'll make three cards to take home.

Cost is $5.00 for materials with $1.00 being donated to the library.

Build, design and create with Duplo® bricks, figures and accessories supplied by the Library. We’ll have various, simple coding challenges using blocks, as well as using our imaginations to create on our own. Ages 2-5.

Kids of all ages welcome to join us for a freestyle LEGO build! We will meet in the basement community room. Bring your own LEGO bricks or use the Library’s, and flip through some of the Library’s LEGO idea books to spark creativity!

Join us for some relaxation and video games on our Nintendo Switch! Feel free to bring any multiplayer (4 or more players) games you wish to share with the group. Ages 13-18.

Join Miss Jen this summer as we combine stories with STEM experiments for hands-on learning fun!

Each week, we’ll have a different craft project for kids ages 5 and older. Younger siblings are welcome to come along and color!

Larger sized forms will be presented to children to color in. After coloring, an adult will place them in the oven for a short time where these forms will shrink! Have fun learning the science of heat shrinking.

Try new foods and develop cooking skills that can be used at home while making fun and easy recipes. The Charlie Cart initiative has been made possible in part by a Capacity Building Grant from the Lancaster Community Foundation.

Come out to the library for some Summer Reading Fun! We’ll have games, food, activities, Summer Reading sign ups, giveaways and more! All Ages.

Are you crafty with a needle (or two)? Would you like a little company to talk shop with while you knit or crochet? Join us at the Library!

$5 a person, per session. In crease energy, improve cardiovascular health and have FUN in just 40 minutes a week with this AMAZING fitness class!! CHECK IT OUT! Great for all ages & fitness levels. 

Luisa Tapia from Luisa’s Sewing Corner will be instructing us how to take our old, graphic t-shirts and upcycling them into a “new” piece of clothing!

Have a child who’s interested in cooking? Or maybe just snacks? Then this program is for them! We’ll make a snack, and maybe learn a thing or two about cooking along the way. For kids ages 7-12.

The Manheim Township High School Chess Team is hosting a summer chess group at the Manheim Township Public Library! All skill levels are welcome to come to learn chess and improve their game.

This group meets at the library on the 2nd Tuesday of each month for short talks from genealogy researcher Ken McCrea, along with lively discussions and research help. For older students and adults.

Dessert Bar Crawl - Bakers must register, tasters do not need to register.

Thursday, June 15th 6-7:30 p.m. - Bakers should arrive between 5 and 5:30 p.m. 

*Bakers must be present during the contest to serve their bars.

Children can practice their Reading-Aloud skills by reading their favorite stories to therpy-trained dogs. 

Online registration begins two weeks before the date of the program.
