REAL Life Community Services invites you to Young at Heart, with free events for anyone age 60 and up. Join us at the library for coffee, chatting, games, crafts, and more on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month.

Join us on our discovery patio for an hour of creativity and fun!

For all ages up to 3rd grade

Drop-in program. No registration is required but  a responsible adult must be present with children at all times

Come for a fun make-and-take craft from 9AM- 12PM! For children ages 4 to 11. 

Preschoolers are invited to this story time that integrates songs and concept-enriched finger plays. Early literacy skills, including letter and sound introduction, are included in each story time.

Knitting Club meets every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month,  from 10 a.m. until noon. Knitting Club is for people who knit and like to share the craft.

A special time for babies to share stories, songs, rhymes and games with their grown-ups. Come play with us in the Children’s Library! (Newborn to 17 months, with adult.) .

Summer Water Play was so much fun that we are bringing it back again this year! Weather permitting, join us outside in the side yard for a splashing good time!

The Magic Box Show is a fast, fun, and amazing show where Master Magician Ran’D Shine performs tricks from his favorite magic books that he keeps in his box.

Join us for a Family Story Time! We’ll read books, sing songs, make a craft, and have fun!

Infants, young toddlers and their caregivers sing songs, recite fun rhymes and read together. Ages 0-24 months.

Participants can listen to the story of Seven Blind Mice who work together and use their senses to discover new things. There will be a fun mouse craft at the end of the program.

Learn all about what it was like to work on a RailRoad! Participants will be able to interact with many hands-on visual aids and artifacts, like tools, lanterns, uniform items, dining car china, and ticket punches, to explore the various jobs

Registration will open at 9 am on Wednesday, two weeks before the story time for Manheim Township and East Lampeter residents and on Saturday for residents of other municipalities.

At Adamstown Grove. Let’s get together for dinner in the wild by taking a close-up look at the food chain where a series of organisms are each dependent on the next as a source of food.

We will be creating our own garden at the library! We’ll plan, plant and take care of our garden and watch it grow. We will also experiment and have fun trying out our own gardening methods! Ages 5-9.

Enjoy watching the anime “Sweetness and Lightning” while learning to make vegetarian sushi (no raw fish!) and candy sushi! Ages 12-18.

This club is open to all interested knitters, crocheters, and other needle or fabric crafters.

Ready to take your bird ID to the next level? Join Miss Jen (our resident bird enthusiast) for this workshop designed for budding birders. We will start in the classroom then move outside to work on our ID skills together.

Build, design and create with Duplo® bricks, figures and accessories supplied by the Library. We’ll have various, simple coding challenges using blocks, as well as using our imaginations to create on our own. Ages 2-5.

Join Miss Jen this summer as we combine stories with STEM experiments for hands-on learning fun!

Each week, we’ll have a different craft project for kids ages 5 and older. Younger siblings are welcome to come along and color!

We will explore fine arts, designing, thinking and problem solving with various traditional and non-traditional art materials. Ages 6-9.
