DESCRIPTION:Lancaster Public Library’s Summer Reading Program is a commu
 nity tradition that promotes reading for fun and lifelong enrichment. This
  summer, we are offering a rich variety of programs to spark curiosity, im
 agination, and learning across all age groups.In collaboration with STEAM
  Sneakerheadz™, we’re bringing you a one-of-a-kind summer reading prog
 ram that makes science and chemistry fun, fresh, and totally hands-on! P
 articipants will design and customize their own sneaker deodorizer pods wh
 ile exploring the science behind odor control and product formulation. Thr
 ough hands-on experimentation, students will work with ingredients such as
  baking soda, activated charcoal, and fragrance oils to understand how che
 mistry is used to absorb odors and create effective products.Ages 12-18 ·
