DESCRIPTION:Join the Adamstown Area Library and Goodwill for a Career Expl
 oration Workshop which includes exploring options for different career fie
 lds, what qualities are important at work, and conducting a self-assessmen
 t to match interests to careers. The workshop starts at 4:30 PM and is fre
 e.This workshop also includes the opportunity to conduct over 50 different
  jobs in an immersive hands-on Virtual Reality experience. It allows job s
 eekers to experience work in different careers and ultimately get on a pat
 h to a well-paying job. Simulations are about 10 minutes long. All are ava
 ilable in Spanish. The job categories include agriculture, architecture an
 d construction, finance, health science, hospitality and tourism, human se
 rvices, information technology, law and public safety, manufacturing, scie
 nce and technology, and transportation. Registration is required for this 
 event. This program is for individuals aged 14-25.Your instructor is Lisa 
 Ference, who has a B.S. in Computer Science from Desales University. She i
 s a retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent who investigated computer crimes
  and intrusions for the FBI in New York City. She now works at Goodwill Ke
 ystone Area, providing learning opportunities in the Lehigh Valley and sur
 rounding counties.
