American Disasters is a six-session PowerPoint series. Dr. Robert Frick, historian and presenter, will share the stories and facts related to six events that significantly impacted the United States. The stories of the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, the Johnstown Flood of 1889, the San Francisco Earthquake of 1906, Hurricane Agnus in the Susquehanna Basin in 1972, the Asian Flu Pandemic of 1957-58, and the Sinking of the USS Indianapolis will be shared during this program. Participants should prepare for lively presentations filled with interesting facts and peppered with humor. Dr. Frick’s goal is education with a smile.
