Registration for Cartooning Made Easy with Ed Klein will open at 9:00AM on Wednesday, July 23rd for Manheim Township and East Lampeter residents and on Wednesday, July 30th for residents of other municipalities.

This program is for children ages 8-12.

Description: Students will be instructed on the basics of cartooning so they can caricature the world around them and create original cartoons as well as draw their favorite cartoon characters. Ed has drawn for The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. Studios, Don Bluth Animation Studios, Hanna Barbera Studios, Hyperion Studios, Filmation Studios, Ross Bagdasarian Productions, Calabash Animation Studios, K.C.M.P. Productions, and numerous independent and commercial studios in New York and throughout the country.

Presenter: As an active artist in the field of animation, Ed has contributed to over three hundred television commercials, five full-length animated feature films, and numerous animated television specials and educational films. As an active cartoon character artist and designer, Ed has designed and illustrated toys, games, apparel, jewelry, and figurines for The Warner Bros. Studio Stores, and The Disney Stores, as well as for independent licensees.

Library Program Policies

No Show – Patrons failing to cancel their registration for more than 2 library programs in a month will be restricted from registering for future programs for a period of one month’s time. Please cancel your registrations at least 2 hours prior to the start of the program to allow for those on the waiting list to be notified of their change in registration status.

Late Arrivals – Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the program to allow for parking and other circumstances. The program will begin promptly at the designated time. At this time, your spot will be forfeited to those on the wait list who will be granted entry. If spots remain, registrants may be allowed into the program. However, registrants will not be permitted to enter the program 5 minutes past the start time.

Drop Off Program – This program is intended for children over the age of 8 years who can participate independently. Adult(s) must be present to check in child with youth services staff prior to program. Adults will not be allowed in the event space. 

Designated Ages – Please adhere to the age restrictions designated on your registration. Only children in that age range will be admitted.
