Event Details
Come play with us at Quarryville Library for our certified Family Place program! Two programs each week, differentiated by child’s age. If you have children in both groups, you may participate in both or choose a different one each week to get the maximum benefit!
10 am-11 am – Parent-child workshop with Solanco School District (birth to 3 with caregiver) -providing a welcoming community environment with resources that families need to nurture their children’s development to help ensure they enter school ready and able to learn.
Weekly topics:
- March 19: Early Literacy with Quarryville Library Youth staff and FREE vision care screenings courtesy of Vision Corps
- March 26: Speech and Language Development with Lancaster County Intervention
- April 2 Growth and Development with Thrive to Five / Parents as Teachers
- April 9: Pediatric Nutrition with Penn State Extension
- April 16: Music and Movement
Each week offers opportunities for children to play with developmentally appropriate toys in a play group setting and for parents to meet and question community experts in the areas of child development, speech and language, nutrition, play, movement, and music.

Accompanying Adults
This program is designed for children and accompanying adults. Please plan to attend and be engaged with your child for this program. Drop offs will not be permitted.
