Lit Lovers Book Group

Lit Lovers is an eclectic reading group with a primary focus on fiction, while also exploring memoirs, short stories, biographies and autobiographies, mysteries, science fiction, and select works of nonfiction. The group is known for its lively, thoughtful discussions and makes a concerted effort to respect differing viewpoints. To keep conversations focused and meaningful, social chatter, gossip, and romance novels are generally kept outside the allotted discussion time.

Lit Lovers gravitate toward modern fiction distinguished by strong writing, well-developed characters, and compelling narratives. Common themes include contemporary issues, family conflict, and the triumph of the human spirit, with a healthy appreciation for humor. Members read for both personal enrichment and enjoyment, and the group frequently selects works by international authors, books set abroad, or stories that explore multicultural perspectives.
