Presented by Dr. Doug Morris of West Chester University, A Short History of Folk Music will include performances, commentary, and the celebration of the thousands of traditional folk songs written between 1840 and 1940.
Join us on Saturday, May 11 for Part 1 of a Short History of Folk Music for a look at field, dance, freedom, railroad, protest, union, and dustbowl songs. If you like what you hear, come back on May 18 for Part 2!
Audience participation is encouraged, especially singing along, but not required!
