Sing and Sign with Darla Bair

Join us for a special five-week interactive music series featuring Darla Bair from Music for Everyone! This interactive program blends music and movement with basic American Sign Language (ASL) vocabulary, creating a fun and engaging experience for young children and their caregivers. Through playful songs and rhythmic activities, participants will learn simple ASL signs for common words, emotions, and everyday actions. While not specifically intended for the Deaf community, this program introduces ASL as a fun and enriching way to support early communication, language development, and motor skills. Intended for children ages 3-8 years old accompanied by an adult.

Registration will open at 9:00AM on Wednesday, April 2nd for Manheim Township and East Lampeter residents and on Friday, March 14th for residents of other municipalities.

Adults attending with their child(ren) do NOT need to register.

📌 Note: By registering, you are signing up for all five sessions. (April 17th, April 24th, May 1st, 8th, and 13th)

Preschool Programs:

No Show – Patrons failing to cancel their registration for more than 2 library programs in a month will be restricted from registering for future programs for a period of one month’s time. Please cancel your registrations at least 2 hours prior to the start of the program to allow for those on the waiting list to be notified of their change in registration status.

Late Arrivals – Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the program to allow for parking and other circumstances. The program will begin promptly at the designated time. At this time, your spot will be forfeited to those on the wait list who will be granted entry. If spots remain, registrants may be allowed into the program. However, registrants will not be permitted to enter the program 5 minutes past the start time.

Accompanying Adults – This program is for adults and children to enjoy together. Please plan to attend and be engaged with your child. Drop offs will not be permitted.

Cancellations- Please check your email prior to departing to verify that the program has not been cancelled.
