The Teen Summer Zine is back for 2026, with a new lineup of mentor authors and artists, new locations and a celebration of the hand-made roots of zines! Students will learn from local arts professionals while creating their own hand-made publications that can include comics, fan art and fan fiction, poetry, collage and illustrations. All art and writing materials will be provided, along with snacks! Students may submit their favorite pieces for publication into a county-wide digital zine that will be available for checkout through Libby at the end of the summer. All Lancaster County teens are welcome to participate. Sessions will take place at the following times and locations: June 13, 1pm. Manheim Township Library: Create Comics with graphic novelist Jamar Nicholas; June 27, 12:30pm; Ephrata Public Library: Make a FanZine with Lancaster Zine Fest's Kim Holland; July 11,12:30pm. Ephrata Public Library: Create Collage Poetry with author and poet Lindsay Bandy; July 25, 1pm. Quarryville Library: Make Zine Art with local artist Ciana Malchione.
