Summer Water Play was so much fun last year that we are bringing it back! Weather permitting, join us on the Library Side Yard for a splashing good time!

Ages birth through age 2.

Please bring a towel for your child. 

Preschoolers are invited to this story time that integrates songs and concept-enriched finger plays. Early literacy skills, including letter and sound introduction, are included in each story time.

Come and hear all about Pennsylvania native and exotic creatures from around the world. Meet Miss Jess at Pavilion C at Refreshing Mountain, 455 Camp Rd, Stevens, PA 17578. 

Toddlers and their caregivers are invited to this 30-minute story time that includes songs, short stories and learning-enriched art activities. Ages 2-4.

Finding a dinosaur may be accomplished by one person, but getting a dinosaur out of the ground is always a team effort. We will showcase all the different skills that come together on a paleontological dig.

Infants, young toddlers and their caregivers sing songs, recite fun rhymes and read together. Ages 0-24 months.

Learn from Penn State Master Gardeners how important pollinators are for our environment. We'll be reading the book "Bea's Bees" by Katherine Pryor and do the honeybee wiggle dance.

Tammi Hessen is a Lancaster, PA-based drummer and percussionist who has been studying in the West African hand drum tradition of djembe/dununs and continues to discover and celebrate the nature and power of the drum as a musical instrument and too

Registration will open at 9 am on Wednesday, two weeks before the story time for Manheim Township and East Lampeter residents and on Saturday for residents of other municipalities.

At Reamstown Community Park. Get into the water and collect critters that live in our local waterways. Be sure to wear closed-toe & closed-back shoes.

The Manheim Township High School Chess Team is hosting a summer chess group at the Manheim Township Public Library! All skill levels are welcome to come to learn chess and improve their game.

Knitting Club meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month, from 10 a.m. until noon and the last Tuesday of each month from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.  Knitting Club is for people who knit and like to share the craft.

This friendly writers’ group, which meets the first, third, and fifth Tuesdays of the month, is for writers who are serious about their craft and in getting their work published.

Our newest book club - BookTok Buzz will meet to discuss "The Housemaid" by Freida McFadden. 

The title to be discussed in June is The Last White Man by Mohsin Hamid.

Children love dogs, and these dogs love to listen to children read! Dogs from K-Pets and their humans (otherwise known as trainers) will visit the Children's Library so children can read to them.

Tired of the same old Wednesday evening routine? Here’s your chance to go from bored to BOARD! Come enjoy an evening of board games with your friends at the library. We’ll have both classic and new games to play. Ages 18+.

Once a month, we’ll build themed creations out of Lego® Bricks that will be displayed in the Library. Recommended for ages 8+ and siblings. No registration is required.
