Autumn leaves and great reads await at our fall book sale!

This stop is ONLY for students and staff at Chesterbrook Academy. 

At this stop, students/staff can check out and return books.

Ages 2 - 3 years with a caregiver (Child must be 2 by September 1, 2024.)

Storytime will last 30 minutes and will include songs, stories, nursery rhymes and playtime.

This 10 week session will run September 16 - November 18.

Little Ducklings-Baby and Caregiver Class for babies 3 months up to 1 year. 

Little Ducklings is a fun interactive program designed for parent or caregivers and their babies.

Stories, bubbles, music, and play time for our youngest library friends ages birth to age 2. 

Knitting Club meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month, from 10 a.m. until noon and the last Tuesday of each month from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.  Knitting Club is for people who knit and like to share the craft.

In partnership with the Lancaster Office of Aging, the Lancaster Public Library - Mountville Branch will host Medicare Annual Open Enrollment Appointments.

Join us for a cooperative movement program where we will use our imaginations while we play with a parachute! Stories and songs will be incorporated, while we move about and use our motor skills.

Join us for Sensory Play with Pumpkins. Drop in from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the library.

Preschoolers are invited to this story time that integrates songs and concept-enriched fingerplays. Early literacy skills, including letter and sound introduction, are included in each story time.

Ages 3 - 5 years, independent of a caregiver (Child must be 3 by September 1, 2024.)

A time for family play! Gain "shopping" experience in our weekly play market!

Each family group must include a responsible adult. (Ages 3 to 7 years old)

Practice writing letters with a senior pen-pal from the community. Participants will write, send, receive and respond to letters. Ages 10-18.

Young scientists will embark on an exciting journey of discovery through the lens of a microscope.  

Learn how to handle microscopes, prepare slides, and adjust magnification settings to observe various specimens.

A hands-on session to show parents how to use research-proven methods for increasing children’s reading fluency and comprehension presented by Steven Duvall, PhD.

After hearing a story about SPIDERS, the child and caregiver will visit different stations that will help with skills needed to start school. We will make learning FUN!
